The Department of Youth Services is pleased to announce that the training dates for the Ohio Youth Assessment System (OYAS) have been set. The OYAS training is two full days of instruction and practice, which covers all five assessment tools: Diversion, Detention, Disposition, Residential and Reentry. All classes start at 8:30am and end at 5:00pm. Participants must attend both days in their entirety and pass a test in order to be certified to use the OYAS assessment tools. Certification on the OYAS instruments is good for a period of 3 years.
All classes have been approved for 14.5 CEU’s for both Social Workers and Counselors for the training; please note that no partial credit will be given. Specific trainings are also approved for CLE’s. Please see the list of approved CLE trainings by clicking on the link below. Updates on the CLE process will be available and posted on this site.
