The SE-Columbus Regional Office has developed a program to meet specific needs of the youth’s surrounding community. The Parole Officers and the youth have input into the types of youth projects, and often suggest project sites. The Columbus Regional Administrator is very committed to maximizing the potential of all regional programming, and she emphasizes making the youth accountable for their actions. The following highlights some of the region’s community service involvement from the past year.

• Unloading food pantry trucks and stocking shelves

• Setting up and dismantling public events
• Assisting in recreation centers
